Introducing Open Attendee API

Hello and Welcome to OpenAttendee.com. This is the place for participating in the development of the Open Attendee API. If you are a developer wishing to participate in the development of this API, please submit your developer participation interest.

In the future, this site will provide support and documentation for Open Attendee's API.

What is an open API?
In business terms, Open Attendee's open API will allow a third party Web site to recreate a lot of functionality currently being developed at Event Objects on their own domain. In technical terms, API stands for Application Programming Interface and allows two computer systems to talk with each other in a common language.

What will be in Open Attendee's open API?
Our initial specs will allow for the query, insertion, update and deletion of the majority of information that will be available within the Event Object's Managment tools.

Why are we doing this?
We want to provide show managers, organizers, IT staffers, partners and solution providers with a framework for developing online registration systems and exchanging data between systems easily.

When will the Open API launch?
We are working to have this ready in early fall.

What can I do today?
In this early stage we want to hear from organizations who are interested in integrating with our Open API. Please fill out this form or send an email to developer@openattendee.com and include an outline of how you would plan to use Open Attendee functionality on your Web site. We may invite you to participate in pre-launch meetings, conference calls and webinar planning sessionsprior to the launch.
